Electronic Miscellaneous Document "EMD"
Sirena-Travel CJSC a leading Russian distribution system and provider of technology solutions offers a registration technology – EMD  (Electronic Miscellaneous Document). EMD (Electronic Miscellaneous Document) - multipurpose electronic document, developed by IATA aims to facilitate sales and collection of ancillary services.
 
An electronic miscellaneous document (EMD) a universal solution to handling ancillary fees, simplifies technology processes for participants of air carries market. Using IATA's electronic miscellaneous document (EMD) standard will also help take the remaining paper out of the airline ticketing processes and thus increase airlines revenue.

At the present time Sirena Travel GDS issues EMD-S (EMD Standalone). EMD-S is used independent of an e-ticket, the documents is issued und used regardless of the flight segment.

Technology is available in the systems:

In the TCH session: ATSS Participating Airlines (Transportation Clearing House)
In airlines session*:   "S7 Airlines" (S7), "Somon air" (4J), "Alrosa" (6R)
* The service is to implement for the airlines hosted their resources in inventory system "Sirena-2000" and in other systems as well.

EMD-S are issued:

In the TCH session:
- Charges/fees the air carrier set in case of flight cancellation, changes in conditions of carriage
- Fees the agent set,
- Application for ticket refund and application for using the part of transportation
In airline session:
- Charges/fees the air carrier set in case of flight cancellation, changes in conditions of carriage

Data about  issued EMD are displayed in BSP DISH daily report (BSP Data Interchange Specifications Handbook).
Data is also to obtain through XML-service by sales information transmissions  - Online-ticket.
