Sales of additional airline services are growing

In 2019, Russian airlines experienced an increase in sales of additional services. The implementation of additional paid services is one of the effective ways to increase profitability, and the airlines' attention to the development of this line of business is paying off.
According to the analytical service of the company "Sirena", for the 1st quarter of 2019 the total volume of sold paid services using EMD (Electronic Miscellaneous Document) increased by 46% compared to the same period of 2018. (In the first quarter of 2018 were sold  0.93 million services, in the first quarter of 2019 - 1.37 million services).
The largest growth was demonstrated by such options as: paid seat selection in the cabin (150% growth), upgrade in-flight dining options (136%), transportation of an unaccompanied child (97%) and priority check-in (62%).
