Nordwind launches direct flights from Kaliningrad to Sochi

On November 16, Nordwind Airlines launches direct regular flights from Kaliningrad to Sochi. The flights are scheduled under the winter schedule until March 25, 2021 and will be operated twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays on a Boeing 737.

“In the winter season of 2020, Nordwind Airlines will become the base carrier at Sochi Airport - seven of the eight new directions of the air harbor will be operated by us. We plan to base five aircraft here for regular flights from the resort capital to 26 cities of the country and back. Thus, Nordwind plans to carry out up to 3,500 flights per season and carry more than half a million passengers on the routes, ”said Anton Mattis, Commercial Director of the airline.

Nordwind is one of the largest airlines in Russia in terms of passenger turnover and has one of the most developed route networks of scheduled flights in the country.

Winter schedule "RusLine"

RusLine Airlines, one of the leading players in the regional transportation market in Russia, has published its flight schedule for the 2020/2021 winter schedule. Flights from the capital's Vnukovo airport will be operated on 7 airlines. Izhavia Airlines has implemented a new development of the Sirena company - Leo PSS Mobile Sales, a mobile solution for the sale of additional services at the airport.
The capabilities of Leo PSS Mobile Sales allow you to process and accept payments for additional airline services at any point in the airport from the check-in counter to the boarding gate.
The sale of the service is carried out using a mobile cash desk with an Android web application installed, which searches for a passenger both in manual mode and by scanning the itinerary receipt and boarding pass.
The software allows you to arrange services of the airline, including for the purpose of ensuring the rules of transportation. For example, to charge a fee for the carriage of excess baggage with which a passenger arrives at boarding, passing it off as "carry-on baggage."

Nordwind Airlines switched to winter flight schedule

On October 24, Nordwind Airlines switched to the winter flight schedule, which will operate until March 27, 2021.

For the period of carriage from December 1 to April 15, in addition to the free checked baggage allowance on Nordwind Airlines flights, it is allowed to carry one set of ski or snowboard equipment without payment, represented by one piece of baggage with a total weight of up to 20 kg. A free additional seat of ski or snowboard equipment is not provided if the passenger purchased a ticket without a baggage fare.

New route of Utair Airlines - Zanzibar

From November 27, Utair introduces a regular flight Moscow - Zanzibar. The airline will fly this route every 10 days on long-haul Boeing 767s.

AZUR air launches direct flights to Istanbul

From October 29, AZUR air will start flights to Istanbul from Novosibirsk. Flights from Tolmachevo International Airport will be operated twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays.

AZUR air is the first Russian airline to launch flights in this direction. New flights will give residents of Novosibirsk and neighboring regions the opportunity to see the city of rich historical heritage - Istanbul.

Flights are scheduled for Boeing 757-200 for the entire depth of the autumn-winter schedule.
