Sirena-Travel CJSC took part in IATA World Passenger Symposium 2013

Sirena-Travel CJSC, leading Russian provider of complex technology solutions for distribution of air transportation, took part in one of the biggest annual events of IATA - World Passenger Symposium (WPS), which was held on 29-31 October 2013 in Dublin (Ireland).

Under the theme “From Service to Value - a customer driven transformation”, the agenda has focused on the customer experience from shopping for air travel to the actual airport experience. A particular focus was given to New Distribution Capability (NDC) and to the new programs that will impact the passenger airport experience, such as the Checkpoint of the Future.

NDC is an IATA-led collaborative industry initiative to define a messaging standard that will enable retailing opportunities through the indirect (GDS/travel agent) channel. Today, the GDS responds to a request from a travel agent to compile an airline offer based on price and schedule by tapping into fare and schedule databases maintained by outside companies. This offer is put together anonymously outside the airline by intermediaries and the airline does not know who the customer is before a reservation is made. In contrast, once the data standard is in place, airlines participating in NDC will be able to make offers that meet the needs of the end user as identified by the customer, the agent, or another authorized third party. This enables both the airline as well as the travelagency to custom-tailor product/service offers.

Besides World Passenger Symposium, «Sirena -Travel " is also participant in other key events of IATA, defining the trends of the global airline industry development . Among them are Annual General Meeting (IATA AGM), various work groups of IATA. Close cooperation with the International Air Transport Association provides "Sirena –Travel“ an invaluable platform to collaborate with other aviation leaders on mutual concerns and emerging issues. In Sirena-Travel GDS is implemented the function, allows to export report data on transactions with railways tickets within the service "Online Ticket"

In Sirena-Travel GDS is implemented the function, allows the agency to receive to accounting system through the service "Online ticket" (ONLINE TICKET) data in XML-format on proceeded sales and refunds of railways tickets. The functional of the service is similar to the prompt data transfer about tickets sales , except for the exchange option. Service is convenient for automation the processing of financial information, accounting operations with tickets in real time.

Earlier in Sirena-Travel GDS the service of rail tickets issuing became available in beta testing. This project was implemented by three companies JSC "Sirena-Travel", JSC "TCH" and LLC "UFS". Sale of tickets for " Russian Railways " is proceeded through a network terminal Sirena-Travel GDS on the TCH forms TCH (EMD).

Thanks to the new functional, the agencies are using "Sirena-Travel" GDS for the air carriers sales, can extend a range of services without additional costs and offer to their customers the railways transportation in the territory of Russia, CIS and foreign countries.

JSC Angara Airlines launched online check-in for new scheduled flights through the web application Astra DCS

Angara Airlines launched online registration for departures from 11 cities in its network : Irkutsk, Novosibirsk , Blagoveshchensk Bratsk, Vladivostok, Peace , Magadan, Ust -Kut, Chelyabinsk, Chita and Yakutsk. Online registration is performed through airline web application to departure control system "Astra " (DCS - Departure Control System).
Online check-in provides the passengers with maximum comfort: you can check in from home or from office, as well as to choose the most convenient place in the airplane . Online check-in starts 24 hours and ends 3 hours before departure.
Passengers and baggage check-in system "Astra" is used by airline Angara Airlines since 2010. Air carrier also works with other distributional solutions of Sirena-Travel CJSC.

Atlasjet Airlines launches e-ticketing in "Sirena-Travel" GDS on their own forms in TCH session

Turkish Airlines “Atlasjet “ (Atlasjet Havacilik A.S, IATA code "KK") has launched e-ticketing on their flights through the terminals and web services "Sirena-Travel" GDS. The project has provided technical link between the electronic tickets server of Atlasjet Airlines and "Sirena-Travel" GDS.

Earlier, the airline has already implemented the distribution of air transportation through an extensive network of agents "Sirena-Travel" in Russia and the CIS - through the interline partner of air carrier. Under a new agreement signed Atlasjet Airlines enables to expand the distribution of its flights on their own forms through the whole network of sales agents "Sirena-Travel" accredited in TCH.

The airline serves a number of routes, that are in demand in Russia and the CIS countries. In particular: Armenia, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Georgia. New implemented distribution opportunities allows Atlasjet Airlines increase the volume of bookings in Russia and the CIS. Domestic tourists became a direct access to an extensive route network.

Sirena-Travel CJSC, leading Russian provider of complex technology solutions for distribution of air transportation, implemented EMD issuing for JSC "Nordavia – regional airlines” in its own session of multipurpose electronic documents (EMD - Electronic Miscellaneous Document) type" S "- EMD-S. At the moment, the trial version of functional EMD-S for "Nordavia" is available in "Sirena-Travel" GDS.

The airline " Nordavia " has a large network of sales offices and offices of authorized agents in Syktyvkar , Arkhangelsk, Murmansk, Severodvinsk , St. Petersburg, Moscow and other cities in Russia. In view of the active development of online sales airline needed a solution that would allow agents to arrange the selling in Sirena –Travel GDS of supplementary services in electronic format.

Sirena-Travel CJSC took part in the ATPCO 2013 Global Conference

Sirena-Travel CJSC, leading provider of complex technology solutions for distribution of air transportation, participated in the ATPCO 2013 Global Conference ((The Airline Tariff Publishing Company), which was held October 14-17 in Washington, USA.

The conference was devoted to the development of ATRCO, includes informative seminars, interactive sessions on products, discussions and round tables.
As part of the study of new products for the travel industry, the ATRCO participants, airlines and their technology partners, had the opportunity to interact directly and exchange ideas with each other.

At the session on the consolidation of products and services experts of "Sirena-Travel" took part in the discussion of practical questions and suggestions of air carriers to improve the specific parameters , affected on the distribution organization of tariff information - time formats, rules, tariff management, different categories, optimization regulations, etc.

Besides, the experts of "Sirena-Travel" took part in a special meeting GDS, in which was presented and discussed the ATPCO work plan (for the years 2013-2015) to modify the existing data processing.

Participation in the Global Conference ATPCO allowed Sirena -Travel CJSC to get the actual information on tariffs and fees changes.

Sirena-Travel CJSC has successfully gone through the certification of a new version of Astra DCS application for self check-in kiosks on the platform SITA CUSS.

In the SITA Lab has successfully completed the certification of new version of application, passengers and baggage departure control system (DCS) Astra for self check-in kiosks, designed by Sirena Travel CJSC, leading provider of complex technology solutions for distribution of air transportation.
The new multi-companies version of Astra DCS (Departure Control System) allows airports to provide the passengers check-in service for flights of airlines , serving at the airport the "Astra" DCS, without installation of check-in kiosk application for each airlines.

Thus, a new universal version of Astra DCS significantly reduces the connection time of new carriers with self check-in kiosks , operating at the airports on the platform SITA CUSS. In the new version it is not needing to create the separate kiosk application for each new airline, what facilitates the process of recertification with connection of a new carrier.

The new, multi-companies Astra DCS application provides the possibility to identify the passenger by different methods. In particular, it has implemented a functional readout for 2D-codes on the itinerary receipt or on the boarding pass. Besides, there are extended languages settings - 2 languages (automatically - Russian and English) , 4 languages (optionally) - at the choice of airline.

After completing of certification, in each airport, where SITA CUSS kiosks are installed and where the flight registration is perfomed in Astra DCS, the airline will be connected with kiosks through a new version of Astra DCS.
Besides registration through DCS kiosks, Astra provides passengers online check-in on the web-site. Both applications of Astra DCS is actively used by the leading airlines.

Automated Departure Control System (DCS) Astra is installed nowadays in more than 160 airports in Russia, CIS and abroad.
In Astra DCS are registered: passengers and baggage of more than 70 airlines, more than 2 million passengers per month (about 70 thousand passengers, 750 flights per day).
The average time of registration procedure of one passenger and baggage in Astra DCS is 20-25 seconds. Astra DCS supports 5 platforms (Ultra Electronics UltraCUSE, SITA CUTE, ARINC iMUSE, RESA CREWS, AirIT EASE), platforms CUSS (SITA). As well APIS- support for Russia , Europe (Czech Republic , Spain , Lithuania , Germany , Italy , Latvia , Estonia) and Asia (China , India).
Astra DCS supports Drop Off, automatic interaction with weights, baggage sorting systems. The system has links to software systems and services of airports. The system meets all requirements and standards of IATA.
